Eating locally grown foods has many benefits for the consumer, grower and the community.

Fortune Bridge Farms

We grow over 100 acres of vegetables on the Bay Fortune River in Prince Edward Island. Selling directly to local consumers & off- island markets, we start harvesting our crops in June and don’t stop until November. Our main crop is Turnips, over 80 acres of them, which are harvested by hand for storage and sold year around . We pick them one by one, with the help of 8-10 hired locals workers, to ensure a pristine product.

About the Farmers

Crystal Burke-Cheverie and Trevor Cheverie are the owners and operators of Fortune Bridge Farms & Roadside Stand. Crystal was born and raised by a farming family, and is now carrying on the family tradition. Trevor, originally from a Lobster fishing family, was made into a farmer by Crystal… like it or not! :)

We’re proud of the foods we offer and because our customers are friends and neighbours, we strive for high quality and reasonable prices. At The Fortune Bridge Farms & Roadside Stand we only sell products we would put on our own table. Local is important to us, come in and discover what we have to offer!
